Start playing the violin, lento, triste. I bought this 4 years ago in Albuquerque, drove it up past Juan Tabo blvd. before loading it onto a car hauler and bringing it to Georgia. It was in covered storage for the first year and a half, where it developed a couple of problems. Fuel delivery. It received a new fuel pump before the discovery of a stuck needle valve. In between visits, the motor decided to lock up, and after freeing up the needle valve, (unbeknownst to me at the time when I went to crank it over) all it would do is click (starter motor gear against the flywheel. I got it out of storage thinking I could work on it easier having it closer (storage was 15 miles away). In the last 2 1/2 years I've checked it out two lengthy times. Thought the transmission might be in gear, but it rolls well when pushed. So my best guess is it may have had some rusty water leak into the cylinders. A dose of diesel fuel to loosen it up was tried, but maybe I introduced too little into the cylinders to make any difference. Still, a click. So this may need the engine replaced, I don't know. What I do know is that I'm not equipped to do anything with it myself. I bought it running, and figured I could work out the bugs on a vehicle able to be driven. But that never materialized for me. I must sell in order to pay for cataracts surgery. Yes, I don't see too well. Working on cars used to be an enjoyment, and still would be if I could see, but it is now more of an aggravation. What is not original on this: The upholstery has been redone, including door panels, where the original armrests have been removed. There is a Citroen ornament in the center of the hood. The trim (where pallas trim usually goes) is aftermarket. The Plates behind the rear passenger windows have been painted, and commemorative plates were installed by one-time owner Don Neal Some electrical has been redone (noticeable under the hood mostly), but has been an incomplete job.. There is a ding on the drivers side fender (picture) where (I guess) I banged it with some farm equipment. The paint job is very nice, just on noticeable paint excess on the driver's side rear plate, where the commemorative plaque is. The only other ding I know of is in the center of the driver side rear fender skirt. I do not like being the eyes of anyone interested in this car, as I've said, I am blind in the one eye. Serious interested parties are welcome to view it with prior approval. I notice the wiring for the windshield wiper motor is incomplete, and the wiring connections to the fender wiring harnesses are not connected. I know that rust is an issue on these cars, I will send individuals who ask any specific are photos if you ask, via eBay's mail relay system. There is no rust-through anywhere on this car thatI can see, some superficialspots, but nothing serious. I don't know if bondo has been used on it. No bondo on rear fenders. When I drove this in Albu, the hydraulics worked (the vehicle raised up), the brake button worked (the car stopped), and I did not hear any tragic sounding noises. I realize this may need a lot of work, but am firm on the price. No reserve, starting bid lowest price accepted for it. Vehicle sold AS IS.
